Michael and I are no longer friends because of a serious spat that he did over me not showing up. It's not like I stand him up all the time. He also said that his girlfriend didn't come. It would have been so much better if she was there with him because then he wouldn't have looked like a fool just hanging around. Anyway, maybe things will settle down with him in the near future and maybe we'll go back to being friends, but for now, no OFFICIAL Nuit Blanche for him. He upset that that event for him. Just before I got off Facebook, he called me a fake friend... but eh that's okay, I have more friends.

Time for another post on The Positive Hedgehog for Monday afternoon

CubaSonic here (Yes, I went to Boomer's page and saw that, and I must say, he's a pretty clever pooch), and I want to begin by saying that since I will be in Cuba by the time Boomer reads this on the air, I guess I could be pretty foul-mouthed at this time, lol. I am in the bathroom taking a dump right now. Now which kind of dump, I don't know, so I will clean it up and say that that I'm in the bathroom taking up a 'Dump of Wisdom', whatever that means. Sometimes I do make up some random shit like that just to make my blogging looks nice. As you can see, if I can help it, I don't use foul language on here. So, as it stands, there's 3 more days to go until I go to the airport. By the way, Boomer sent me some pictures of Sonic games at an arcade where one of them looked like the game of Plinko, you know, the one on The Price Is Right, but nah Boomer said it was only a slot machine. I am writing too much right now and it's only Monday. I will have to save some content for Tuesday, Wednesday, and then at the airport on Thursday.

Monday afternoon entry - A little something.

I heard Boomer and Ric bark about yams and this brought me back to when I was in Las Vegas and I had some candied yams in the buffet, which is small marshmallows all around some mashed up sweet potatoes, and like a fool I put a big glop of that on my plate and that was the only thing on my plate. I mean it did look interesting and tasty when it was in the buffet, but not while I ate it. I mean I had to literally force myself to eat all of it from my plate. I don't like to waste food if it can be helped. Anyway, I might have more tonight, but if not stay tuned for Tuesday's entr(ies)...

I just gave Boomer a very lively song to play while I am in Cuba, and that will be played after Ricochet's updates, if he has any updates for you all. It's a song that I heart the first time I was in Cuba and this person was getting some people to party with him. I think this gang was getting drunk. Yeah, they were rowdy, but they didn't do any damage or anything. All they wanted to do was just have a blast over there while they were on vacation. I remember it clearly like it was yesterday. The vacation was between June 6th and June 13th, 2015 for my 38th birthday. The town's name that we were in was Guardalavaca and the resort we stayed in was Club Amigo. During our stay, my dad HATED it since the humidity was just too much for him and he developed major dizzy spells to the point where he went "Never again will we step foot in Cuba!", but since we both got offered a tip to go earlier like between February and April, it shouldn't be too hot and should be tolerable. I mean last time we were there I was able to tolerate the heat, but with my dad... forget it. Anyway, I had a fun time last time but my dad didn't. Hopefully this second time won't be as harsh on my dad since he is now 70. More blogging on Thursday before I get on the airplane...

It's Thursday morning and I am excited. I am trying hard to contain it inside and so far it's working. I mean, I may not be showing it physically, but it's there. This will be the day that I will be transferring my blogs from my online blogging that I am doing now to a text file (WordPad) that I will be using as I continue to blog either in the plane while we fly down to Cuba, or when we arrive at the hotel. I can't think of anything more to write at this moment, so I guess I will say "Stay tuned"...

I am now at the airport. Dunno how long I have until I need to pack my laptop away again, but I will just say this, there was a gate change from Gate 68 to Gate 63, so that will be making my dad's trek to the gate a bit more easier for him because Gate 68 is a bit more further. This will be the time that I will be going to my offline blogging on WordPad. I will be busy blogging. So this will be the blog this week that I will giving to Boomer to read (and the song that I gave him) and the week after will be my vacation blog on The Positive Hedgehog.

Saturday night's blog for The Positive Hedgehog

I didn't do any blogging throughout the week because I was too busy, usually with Sonic, but I will leave the rest to your imaginations. I have a few pictures on the hotel plan, the seat plan of the plane we (my dad and I) will be on, and the special Saturday Night Safety Dance wallpaper since this is the last show before the trip. Since we'll be going this coming Thursday, I will be missing the one on the 29th, but that's okay because I am having the time of my LIFE down there! OH! And one important detail for you guys... For next week, I will be making my blog entry for the 26th from this coming Monday, the 19th, until Thursday, the 22nd, when I will send my next entry for the 26th because I won't have WiFi at all while I will be in Cuba, but don't worry because I will open a file on my laptop and will be offline blogging and expect a nice long vacation blog for the March 5th show. Plus, an extra... get ready for my OFFICIAL Nuit Blanche entry. Sunday, though, I will be going for an UNOFFICIAL Nuit Blanche with Michael. McDonald's and then the airport is the plan. And I will brag to him about '4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS!' lol. Anyway, yeah when this will be read by Boomer on Doggy Radio, it will be 3 more days. OH BOY am I ever excited. CUBA HERE I COME!!!

I will think of all of you though. I have to... it's my duty, and because I love you all. This will also be the 2nd week that I will be listening live to the show, and perhaps when I get back also for the March 5th show, but then I need to really reset my sleep schedule.

I didn't go anywhere on Sunday. Didn't sleep well enough to do this event with Michael, so I will only do the OFFICIAL one on March 3rd.

UPDATE #2, Sunday afternoon into the evening.

This hedgehog is feeling quite guilty now because he stood Michael up. Since he had his girlfriend with him, though, shouldn't make me feel this guilty. I mean look at it this way - at least he wasn't waiting alone for me. That would've made me feel even worse if that was the case. Anyway, I wanted to have a Nuit Blanche, but then I fucked it up by staying awake until the early hours of the morning. Hope he understands since I sent a Facebook message 3 hours prior to me showing up. He should have delayed his trip to come see me. I was just too tired. Even now I am yawning. I am thinking about something though. Maybe to make it up to him, we could all have a Mini Nuit Blanche while I get things for my furry programming tonight, although he may be very angry. All I could do is say sorry to him. I mean it's not like me to stand people up like that.

Now I guess it's time to say the real goodbye to this week, and look forward to my short 3-day blog starting on the day that Doggy Radio airs. Thanks to Romeo since I will be listening to his show at 10pm... I'll be able to hopefully.

Actually I will be heading to bed very early. I really want to spend as much time with Sonic, sleeping with him, or other things, as I can before I to Cuba. Now, I already told Romeo about this, so what I said earlier about listening to The Rabbit Hole was a lie.

The Positive Hedgehog from Tuesday 2-6 to the morning of Saturday 2-10

Whoa boy, lots of things to get to. Lemme see...

Tuesday I didn't go to the Action Center due to me not feeling good. Wednesday and Thursday were not good day since I still wasn't feeling well, but on Friday I was starting to feel okay, but I still didn't wanna take a chance at the Action Center to make everyone feel ill, so I just didn't go. I then found out at around 4:45pm that Shawn, the other DJ, wasn't there to replace me since I was home getting better. I know that Andrea had music to conduct the class. I mean it's better when I am there since I have nonstop music. Now Friday night into Saturday was interesting because before I had my shower for the night, I set up my laptop in the dining room and got ready to DJ on Sonic 95. I knew that I would be able to put on a few songs on Auto DJ while I have my shower although I couldn't hear the music while the water was running, I couldn't put the radio in the bathroom too loud since it's late and my dad's sleeping. After my shower, I came out after drying myself and getting dressed, put my headphones on since my walkman was tuned to my FM transmitter and took it off Auto DJ. Now I am just broadcasting great dance music. I am not tired at all. I am going to perhaps take some Monster at like 3am and see if I can keep going until like 8am. Yeah, this may upset my proper sleep pattern, but eh I need to start doing what I enjoy doing and I haven't been DJing at all this week. Anyway, this is where I'm at right now, stay tuned for either an entry later on or tomorrow, Sunday...

Midnight entry to The Positive Hedgehog

Now it's Sunday morning. I was feeling quite mellow earlier on and didn't feel like that for quite a long while. Sonic boosted my morale by helping me get out of that state of awe. Right now I am just listening to the Saturday Night Safety Dance via Sonic 95. What else... hmm. I was wanting my dad to go on a cruise, just ONE to say that I was on one as well, but he is so stubborn. I mean he has like a lot more money than I have, so I don't know what his excuse is... I also told him that I'd help him with the expenses, but he still didn't want to hear about it. I was thinking about the Crown Princess (YouTube: Sea Cruisers), but then someone else was explaining to me that the Holland America would be the best cruise to go on for first-time cruisers (YouTube: Travelling with Bruce). I was watching some food choices on YouTube as to what Holland America offers and boy oh boy, the food choices look DELICIOUS!!! Yeah, it's very expensive, but I think we both could afford it, and that would mean less money for me for groceries and such when I have to pay back my dad on a monthly basis, but I think it would totally be worth it.

I may have something to talk about later on in the day or I might make another entry just to sign out...

A very exciting finish to this week's The Positive Hedgehog

Saturday, I just learned that my dad booked us on a 1-week trip to Cuba and to celebrate, I just tuned SiriusXM to Channel 158 (Caliente) and I put it on Sonic 95.5 all throughout the house. I guess it was all that talk of going on a cruise that got to him. I would still like him to go on a cruise since I am still suggesting that to him. I got in touch with Shawn and he's going to fill in for me on the 23rd and he has his DJ day on the 27th and then on March 2nd, the day I come back, I will have to have a few Monsters waiting for me since there will just be a few hours between me being back home and when I will have to be at the Action Center to do my 50-minute ZUMBA mix for the morning and then there will be a Nuit Blanche PARTY in the afternoon to celebrate me going to the OFFICIAL Nuit Blanche the next day. Later on, I might just crash and burn in the afternoon when I come back home later on in the afternoon. Now, I still am under the weather a bit with the tail end of whatever I had and stuck with coughing and clearing my throat, but I am having a remedy that will have work extra hard for me to be A-OK for the 22nd.

I also watched the Puppy Bowl throughout the week, thanks to the PVR, and I need to share a picture to all of you, especially to Boomer.

The Positive Hedgehog for 1-29 to 1-31

Hello to all of you. Another brand new week. Monday, I asked Boomer for a FLAC format of Doggy Radio and I know that it's at the highest quality possible. 1 whole gigabyte for this week's show... I'm glad that I have a good 650 GBs to play with. I'm very picky with sound and I really appreciate sound with the highest in quality.

Anyway, all that beside, I went on an UNOFFICIAL Nuit Blanche Monday afternoon (4:20pm - Smoke Em If You Got Em, lol) and I got my hands on some candy and Diet Pepsi at a well-known subway station stop. I then took a bus to another subway station to the east, fun ride.

Now, Tuesday was the Action Center for me, and Shawn wasn't available to come in, so I DJ'd for him. On Sunday the 28th, though, Shawn told me to retire. YEAH RIGHT! He told me that he's jealous of me. Music is music, right? I know why he's jealous. I have heard some complaints of people that his music is not good, but this is why I am leaving him to play on Tuesdays. He has more opportunity to play on a Tuesday than a Friday anyway. He is needed for geography class anyway, and since I was in geography class last year with Shawn, I felt that something was not right at all. Sure, I love geography as it's my BEST subject, but music is better as I am a DJ, so since the teacher, Andrea, gave me a suggestion to become THE DJ for ZUMBA class, well I couldn't say no to that offer. Plus, it's more equal this way, with me being with Andrea and Shawn helping out in geography class with Allison. Later on when I came back home from the Action Center, I went to my bedroom and saw my monthly statement (Social Assistance, money-wise) come in, and I looked at the amount oddly. It was $73 higher than usual, so I asked my dad and he thought it was odd also. You'll find out about it on my Wednesday entry...

BIG paragraph for Tuesday. Now onto Wednesday where my dad and I went out to BUFFET DES CONTINENTS yet again to celebrate that increase of $73. When I came back, my dad dug further into the envelope, where my statement was, and found out why I was getting an increase. The pamphlet states, and I quote from it, "The Government Action Plan to Foster Economic Inclusion and Social Participation 2017-2023 also provides measures that will make it possible to offer support to people who are taking steps toward employment integration or training," I see the plan I'm on, it's the Social Solidarity Program, which is interesting to me. I mean, I have Ataxia, but then I am constantly thinking that I am cheating the system for giving me money that I did not work for. Sure, I DJ for a living, but there are lots of days when I don't do anything either, mostly in the winter. Would you be able to give me any insight to this, Boomer? Anyway, Wednesday afternoon into the evening, I am not doing much... not even going to CKUT. I will get in touch with CKUT's news coordinator in a few days since now that I think of it, Virgin Radio would be a bit more tough on me in the form of attendance if I have a radio program over there. True, there is a lot less time on Off The Hour for a DJ Sonic song, but I guess I will take that over people becoming tough on me on other stations.

Whoa! A lot more stuff was said on Wednesday! Anyway, stay tuned for Thursday, Friday, and into the weekend coming up next on The Positive Hedgehog!

Puppy Bowl on The Positive Hedgehog

Oh my god. Let's start on Thursday - I didn't do anything much, as usual.

Friday, I had a very enjoyable day at the Action Center with a lot of great music. It was Groundhog Day that day so I played 2 songs from the movie with Bill Murray, I Got You Babe (the song that he starts off the day over and over again on the same exact day, which to him is a nightmare) and the Pennsylvania Polka (sung at Gobblers Knob in Punxutawney). Those songs were enjoyable and before I started playing the first song of the two, I yelled out, "HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!!" DJ Sonic 2, or Shawn, played some games on his laptop beside me, which is ok. He really still enjoyed my music. It's his turn to shine this coming Tuesday anyway. I'm really glad that I gave him that Tuesday spot to really shine despite him telling me to retire.

Saturday came along, and noticed that there was a Puppy Bowl post on Facebook, and this reminded me to set the PVR to record the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Even on Sunday I didn't know that there was yet another Puppy Bowl, but getting back to Saturday, while the Puppy Bowl was being recorded, I went out to Chalet Bar-B-Q which is the only BBQ chicken restaurant in the city, and MAN is it ever good! I remember back in December when I had supper from there while I was DJing a Christmas Party. After Chalet Bar-B-Q, most of the gang went to a play and I went off to walk to a subway station and got a mini Nuit Blanche started for myself, but it didn't last long due to me being a bit unstable on the powdery snow that was falling. Yeah, I will admit it to all of you and I am not ashamed of saying this, but I have an issue with my balance and it stems all the way back to when I was born, but I won't go into that since this entire blog that I do on a weekly basis is called The Positive Hedgehog for a reason... to be positive and upbeat. On to Sunday...

I woke up feeling real good on Sunday after snuggling Sonic to death, my 20-inch one, woke up and decided to watch Countdown To Puppy Bowl. This is what's great about owning a PVR. You can watch what you recorded anytime you want at your leisure. Funny thing here is that my starting channel, for every time I turn the terminal on, is Channel 743, and that is Animal Planet. Now, I don't want to watch what I am recording since I will be watching it any old time I feel like. Anyway, I will be listening to the podcast today. I want to listen to the podcasts every Sunday, if I can, before I download a new show coming out on Monday.

Even though I am not in Pawpet IRC anymore, maybe I will frequent it more in the near future. I wanna socialize again with everyone, but again I have the Telegram group, and I really want to stay in touch.
