Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ for March 28th, 2016.

Posted by
Mar 27 2016

This time, I am starting my postings at the Action Center, the day after Doggy Radio, March 22nd, which is nice because I never started it here before. It's rare as well that I start it over here.

=====

This is Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ for March 28th, 2016.

This will be the Tuesday that I will be starting with. I made it to the Action Center and started off with the FM transmitter, Sonic 95.5 FM which is Action Center's closed circuit radio station. Right now as I write this, I am having loads of fun! I then gradually got my Logitech system all set up. Everyone had lots of fun, especially when it was time for the bean bag toss. Two people were extra playful when they were throwing bean bags at each other.

-----

Wednesday morning before I went to bed, I watched a lot of episodes of Supernanny on YouTube, I don't know why, lol. I will pick this blog up again when I have time later on in the day. Now at the radio station, CKUT, I have my 'DJ Sonic mix' on the programs, Off The Hour and The Avalanche. What I do is really fun. We discuss about accessibility things and stuff, and then downstairs at the Production Control Room, or PCR, we do interviews and stuff, and we make good radio. In the Main Control Room, MCR, I think I am doing a pretty damn good job since we're only 3 for this afternoon - Stephane, Kevin, and me JaSonic. After the show, all 3 of us went down to the subway, and then we all were giggling about "Puppy Monkey Baby", and I will provide a link to that weird commercial.

I don't have anything to talk about for Thursday. This is kept here for the second week in a row.

-----

On Friday, I went to the Action Center for 8:45am for a trip to the sugar shack. After we finished eating, I was able to DJ over there for my group. I was very amazed that I could. 1st time for everything, you know? I was so happy that was able to DJ. They really do have a good sound system over there! After supper at 7pm when I was back home, I put up one of my many wallpapers that identifies with what I am about to do - DJing for myself until 8:45pm because I need to get myself ready to party with my favorite DJ on Second Life. I just adore on how my Logitech sound system for my computer sounds!!! Nice rich sound, even if all my music is in MP3 format. 5 minutes late to climb on my favorite DJ's stream, but will be climbing on Second Life in a few minutes. Also, tonight I wrote a note on my CKUT / The Avalanche wallpaper saying that Sonic 95.5 FM will be changed to Sonic 90.7 FM as of April 6th, but only on Wednesdays since I do DJ over there. They have a radio in the 'CKUT News' office, and the radio is kind of hard to operate when it scans all the stations that do come in, so since CKUT is located on 90.3 FM, Sonic will have a new home on Wednesdays on 90.7 FM, but again it's only as of April 6th.

-----

Saturday, I woke up at 10:30 and took the bus at 11:27. I went to the mall, but a bit further away this time, with my good friend, Charlie. The bus came 3 minutes late and Charlie arrived at the mall 55 minutes late, but I kind of deserved that since 2 weeks ago, I did come late at the mall, so this time it was me that needed to wait. He said sorry a couple of times, but I said that it's not his fault. When I came down to the subway before I saw Charlie, there was a song that I wanted to look up since it was playing on the radio. I liked the beginning tune of the song, but the subway went into the tunnel and I lost the radio station's signal while I was traveling in the tunnel on the subway. Also, all of you listeners to Doggy Radio did see the layout map of the subway station over here in Montreal, and I want to tell you that all the subway cars on the orange line has electronic signs. The purpose of me telling you this is because the signs emit a signal to 103.1 MHz and it's a very strong signal, maybe about 1 watt around the subway cars on the orange line. There will be some new subway cars in 2018 called AZUR that will be gradually replace the old cars. The subways cars that are on the tracks right now are from way back to when the subway in Montreal first opened in 1967. There is only 1 AZUR running on the orange line as we speak for testing with passengers on, and I did ride it a couple of times. Less bumpy than the old cars and perfect climate control. Also, updated electonic signs which is more efficient to passengers! I am happy with the new AZUR. BUT, and here comes a big 'but', I have not tested my walkman on it as of yet to see if the updated electronic signs emits a signal to any FM frequency. Also, I am really glad that I remembered to do 3 things without the need of writing it down, using a pencil and paper, when I came back home. One of those things was the fact that I needed to remember that song I needed to get, and I will be giving that song to Boomer to play it on Doggy Radio. This song was heard on a local classic rock station over here, CHOM 97.7 FM. While the Saturday Night Safety Dance show was on, I had it on Sonic, my FM station 95.5, and like I promised Boomer quite a while ago, I did another range test, and I found out that the signal was more powerful this time when I went to the bus stop across the street and when I was walking west towards the grocery store. When I was walking east from my house, I got another radio station from Plattsburgh NY / Burlington VT on the same exact frequency... 95 Triple X, and that's a Top-40 station for those areas. 95.5, 95 Triple X, is 25 kW so it's pretty powerful. Now, I also did that range test at the park that I was talking to you about, and Sonic 95.5 FM doesn't come in at all. Not even 95 Triple X either, just static. Ah well, it's fine. Can't have everything with a 1-watt transmitter, but on some days I feel that it acts more like a 1.5-watt transmitter, like tonight. I guess it all depends on the weather too, I don't know.

-----

Sunday, I watched a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares and any furry videos that do appear on YouTube that I'd want to watch. I switch between Auxiliary and Sonic 95.5 when I find something good on YouTube. Yes, it cuts me listening to the show on 1st Wave quite a bit shorter, but I like YouTube as well and I don't want to use my walkman to let me listen to the station while I watch content on YouTube. I have most of the Saturday Night Safety Dance's songs on my laptop anyway. I just listen to the show on Saturday nights into Sunday mornings for ambience. The afternoon came and my dad took me up north for some pizza. It was a beautiful day late in the afternoon and I wrote Boomer from the pizza place since I had WiFi. Now going back down to Montreal, I saw some geese going by. We took secondary roads coming up, but we took to highway to go back down again. Tonight, like always, I will be waiting eagerly for my shows to start. I was DJing for myself both ways, when heading up and then coming back down. I really have a good pair of headphones for me to listen to music - Sennheizer! Now back at home, I am watching a movie that I wanted to remind myself to watch via my Sonic Scratchpad known as my main wallpaper for the house. The movie is called "While She Was Out", a 2008 movie. After the movie was done, I had a few vlogs to watch on YouTube, and then read what Boomer sent to me, and we both like talking about radio quite often. He was barking to me something about why they had the FM transmitter that I have marked as having 108.5 FM as a frequency. Now, I know that this is not a real frequency, but they want to avoid jealousy between radio stations meaning that if there is a station like let's say 97.3 FM that is on the box and there's another station like 94.5 FM that is wondering why the heck that their station's frequency is not displayed on the box, there's going to be a problem, and this is why they used a fictitious FM frequency. And this is what I replied to him...

"Yeah, that sort of does make sense, but like my station, Sonic is on 95.5 MHz, but I also made up some call letters that I couldn't find anywhere else in the country as yet... CHDG. C is the normal start to call letters in Canada, HDG is just my way of abbreviating "Hedgehog", so in reality 95.5 FM is called Sonic Hedgehog, heh. This station is privately owned by me, so any unused radio station frequency that I can acquire will make me very happy because way back when I didn't have Sirius and just had my XM receiver that emitted a signal to radios, Sonic 95.5 was just used for that... but now that I am happily owning a FM transmitter, I feel like I can transmit almost anything on Sonic, but preferably it should only be for music, but I do broadcast the Saturday Night Safety Dance, The Rabbit Hole, Radiolawn, and Doggy Radio shows on the station now, and that does help me quite a bit, because whenever I have to go to the bathroom for whatever reason during these shows, I can just power up the radio that I have in the bathroom, put it on 95.5 FM, and listen to whatever show I have assigned to the station. Yes, even my neighbors can listen in as well."

March 21st, 2016

Sidenote - I will start to send Boomer my blogs every Sundays before Doggy Radio, but then again, that was the original plan and I messed my original plan up over the weeks, so I will go back to the original plan and try it again and hopefully it works this time. I think when my dad takes me to hotels overnight Sundays into Mondays, it kind of screws my schedule up just a tiny bit, so if that happens again, you'll have to excuse me.

Begun some postings by JaSonic the morning of March 16th, but will be E-Mailing this blog to Boomer on March 20th.

This is Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ for March 21st, 2016.

I am going to start by telling you what happened this past Tuesday. I didn't go to the Action Center because I was too cozy in bed, but I know that this was a very miserable excuse, but it's not like I'm at school or anything - I can either come in or not come in during the day. Later on in the evening after supper, I began to watch documentary after documentary after documentary about Hurricane Katrina, and there was a video about Six Flags New Orleans and a raw video footage of Hurricane Katrina embedded in the 'Watch Later' folder.

-----

Wednesday, I didn't go to the radio station because I went to bed a bit too late - 6:30 in the morning, lol. But yes, I did let everyone know that I was sorry that I wasn't at the radio station.

-----

I don't have anything to talk about for Thursday.

-----

I didn't go to the Action Center on Friday since I went to bed too late for an 8:00am wake up, so I stayed home and when the night came, I went to Second Life to party with the DJ that's usually there on Fridays, Mieze.

-----

Saturday, I went to the local mall with my good friend, Charlie.

-----

Sunday, I got up at 9am and wanted to go back to bed, but I did promise people that I wanted to be at furry brunch, so I moved my ass - got dressed, helped my dad with a computer problem, and then went out the door. When I got there, I ordered a rather large plate and felt like Radiolawn's Gush Limbaugh for a bit after the meal, lol. After the furry brunch, I went the same way with some of my furry friends, took the same bus and subway, and I went to a park to get some air. I then went back on the subway and I wanted to go somewhere, but nah I had a Plan B... took some above-ground buses. First bus after I took after walking in the park was a bus to go directly to the airport. I don't know why, but I like walking around in the airport. Got some water from the water fountain as well while I was there. I slowly came back home afterwards, where I will be waiting for The Rabbit Hole, Radiolawn, and Doggy Radio to start later in the night.

=====

Starting on Tuesday, I had a real good day at the Action Center and I will just leave it there because I want to talk about Wednesday now because on that day, well let me just open up the day properly.

-----

On Wednesday, before I went to the radio station, CKUT, I stopped off to get some lunch at a grocery store nearby the stop I had to get off to get to the radio station. My lunch consisted of tuna sandwich, a good piece of Swiss cheese, and a bottle of Diet Pepsi. I put all of that in my Sonic bag and carried it to CKUT. I ate it there... but then the person normally in charge of The Avalanche was sick, so there was another person, Grace, but the thing here was that she did not have a USB key because the network that is usually functioning has been out of service for I don't know how many weeks, and we were all scrambling. 30 minutes before the show, Off The Hour, started, Grace handed me the USB stick and she told me what to do. We had a good show despite all the problems prior to the show. After the show, I waited for someone to get on his adaptive transport and then I went home.

-----

Thursday, I did absolutely nothing so I don't really have to talk about the day today.

-----

Friday morning, the city bus came, but at the next stop, the bus driver stopped, got up and went outside because there was a sign that was dragging underneath the bus. The bus was to be going back to the garage, so I had to walk all the way to the hospital, and from where I was, that was like a good 15-minute walk, and by this time I was late getting at the Action Center for the morning geography class, which DJ Sonic helps out in. When I came in, I asked for the projector, and then I had to hurry up to set my equipment up. I set the closed circuit radio station up, which was Sonic 95.5 FM, and they have a radio over there, so I plugged it in, tuned it to Sonic, and then DJ Sonic played some music before the class started, and then when the class started, I just was letting the teacher do her presentation while I was multitasking, setting up my Logitech speakers and pressing the space bar on my laptop so that the Power Point presentation would go to the next page. The morning went well, although I was feeling a bit off since I was a bit late in the morning, so I had the teacher take control of my laptop for a bit while I was walking around the Action Center for a bit. At lunch, someone bought some lunch for me from Wendy's and then the afternoon class. Great music was to be had since I keep the place ALIVE every time I am there, and ANYWHERE for that matter, even if you invited me down to Pittsburgh, Boomer, I would keep your place alive with music! After the afternoon class was done, I packed up and went back at home then. During the evening, I normally listen to another DJ on Second Life, but I was too tired to even do anything, so I went to bed at 9:45pm.

-----

Saturday, I was invited to the mall that was not close to me, so I got the bus at around 12:25pm, which didn't allow me much time with my friends, but we all had a great time just the same. Again, I was tired from the day, so I listened to a couple of hour of the Saturday Night Safety Dance and then called it a night after watching some vlogs and a YouTube documentary about the history of video games.

-----

Sunday, my other friend, Scott, came over, and we recorded some music on his cassette tape, all the while I was trying to do my blogging. It's not like he was disturbing me, no, because I could do the music AND write on my blog.

=====

Hi to all you listeners out there of Doggy Radio. Today I will be talking about Friday, Saturday, and Sunday since I didn't do much last week due to it being so icy once again! I even didn't go to the radio station for a 3rd time this past Wednesday! Let's get my blog rolling here...

-----

March 4th, this is on Friday - I woke up and got ready to go on an outing with my friends from the Action Center. My best friend, Charlie... and no Ricochet, not Charlie the Unicorn, lol... was not there, so I became progressively bored as the afternoon came. At 2pm, I said phooey to where I was at and decided to watch the opening premiere of ZOOTOPIA!!! I won't give any spoilers, but I know many went over this past weekend. I actually heard through the grapevine that there were some people that were going in full fursuits watching the movie in groups. I am happy for Disney because I want this movie to have the highest amount of money out there - Yes, this hedgehog found it THAT good, but I didn't go in fursuit because my partial one is not all that good. I spent hours cutting the parts that wouldn't fit me away, but I still didn't spend any money on my fursuit since I don't use it that often. Anyway, I went home after Zootopia finished and partied with dance music, thanks to DJ Mieze every Friday night unless she has a con to go to, on Second Life.

After that, I put in a new "DJ Sonic's Song of the Week" in my DJ wallpaper... the song that played TWICE! Shakira's "Try Everything".

-----

On Saturday, I woke up and went to Chinatown to first pick up some mochi, and this time it wasn't only red bean mochi, but different varieties of mochi. After buying the mochi, I went to the buffet for lunch. Mmmmmm! Was it ever good, but it was filling. 3 plates is sorta my limit nowadays. After the buffet, I had a choice to make - it was to either go back home, or to have a walk in a park... I chose the latter, which means I chose to have a walk in the park. So I walked for 45 solid minutes out in the open air, which is good, and when I came back to the subway to take me back home, there was a rainbow straight up in the sky that kept on following me, but when I came back home, I took a nap from 4:30 until 8pm when the Saturday Night Safety Dance show on SiriusXM Channel 33, 1st Wave was starting. I then listened to a bit of the show and was talking with friends on Second Life. I called quits at like 10:45 or so because I was just too dead tired from all the air that I had. Crawled into bed at 10:55 and watched the local news at 11. While I was watching the news and the vlogs, I was eating the mochi that I purchased. They were so yummy! The mochi from the store that I purchased them from was sort of expensive. I will show you what mochis are - they are a Japanese treat. After my news, I watched some vlogs... blogs, but in video format... and then at 1am I fell asleep, which brings me to Sunday.

Mochi

-----

On Sunday, there was a brunch event happening for the furry community over here, but I decided not to go because I want to go when it's a bit more warmer outside, that and I was too cozy in bed with my Sonickins, and yes that is my nickname for Sonic in plush form. I will be going shopping later on for the shows later on tonight. I'll be taking some air again, but it won't make me fall asleep, don't worry.

That's all for Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ for this week.
