'Don't know what to blog about this time' on The Positive Hedgehog

Yeah, I am having writer's block, gang, in the early hours on Wednesday. Boomer (The dog [Insert WOOF! here] that is reading this to you) has told me to be safe since there are some flooding concerns. Blasted Mother Nature is going to be delivering some more rain on us for a good chunk of the day today. I will go see what it did on the western tip of Montreal Island. I just hope it isn't as bad this time around as the local news shown AND I hope there's no detours for the 211 bus to go right to the end.

I will write more later since this is a good day to stay indoors.

-----------------------

'Eh!' on The Positive Hedgehog

This morning, Thursday morning, is starting off under rain, which is not good for the flooding situation, and I won't go to the flooded areas unless it gets sunny out because I also want to have a nice walk in the area. Now, I didn't fall asleep yet, but that's fine. I will go to bed and snooze soon enough.

-----------------------

'Dam overflow EMERGENCY!!!' on The Positive Hedgehog

I just learned that there's a dam 75 kms away to the northwest of me in Hawkesbury (on the Ontario side)... now, I have mentioned that town before in my blogs. This time, that town is at great risk to get flooded. On the other side of the river too, in Grenville, Quebec. There's some major highways that will be under water as well. I want to stay on top of things here though. I might be able to take a trip to the western tip of the island on Friday, but if the forecast is right this time, I am staying put.

'Very late entry right before Doggy Radio' on The Positive Hedgehog

BLASPHEMY!!! Yes, total blasphemy that I do a very late entry like this and there's a very good reason for this - I wanted to go to the western tip of the island to see how much flooding there was, and I must say that the levels weren't as high as 2017, but it was close. They were very prepared this time, the residents of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, with the sandbagging. I saw a lot of sandbags where there were problems, but on the other end of the street, where I walked to, they were dry, but at the very lowest level, on Grier street, they were heavily flooded, that and another building along Ste-Anne Road, but not as heavily. That's all for now because I want to finish this week's blog since I have something to watch before I put Sonic 95.5 FM on to broadcast the second half of The Rabbit Hole and then your show, Doggy Radio.

Sonic out.

'SUCCESS! Good test for Sonic at Action' on The Positive Hedgehog

While at the Action Center on Tuesday, I got my transmitter set up and told Shawn to play and tested the range and holy, the grocery store, Maxi, is bit far in walking distance, and I was pretty sure I'd lose the signal half that distance. I guess it's good that I have a huuuuge window right in the front of the building. The signal works all throughout the Action Center, and on June 8th we are going to be attending the Bazaar over here, Shawn & I. I requested people to have radios everywhere in the center to listen to both of our music.

Anyway, more later...

--------------------

'Sunday, a flooding situation' on The Positive Hedgehog

I was shown a few pictures on Facebook, and the same amount of flooding took place in the same areas of my city like we has in 2017. I may go to the western tip of the island Monday afternoon to assess the damage, although I will try not to impede the ongoing rescue operations if it's that dire.

Anyway, Sonic 95.5 FM may go on when I come back home, or I might just throw the transmitter on when The Rabbit Hole comes on the air, I have no clue. It's all up to me. Anyway, I better go if I wanna come back, right? That's it for now on this Easter Sunday. When Doggy's on, it'll be still Easter, but on Monday - Easter Monday.

Sonic out.

The Positive Hedgehog for April 15, 2019

'Just a little something at the ending of April 8th's Doggy Radio' on The Positive Hedgehog

Nah, I didn't have any fun with Sonic since I am really tired right now, but I do sleep with my big Sonic, so I guess you can say that's my fun with Sonic, but just not in a sexual way, lol.

--------------

'The kind of day that makes you want to say OOF!!!' on The Positive Hedgehog

This is Tuesday and I can safely say that I put an X on the Action Center since we got ice pellets, freezing rain, and snow today. Doesn't the calendar say April 9th and we're getting the exact opposite of what we're supposed to be getting? Now, what I ABSOLUTELY don't get is that about 5 hours south of here, maybe starting around Albany NY, the temperature was warming up where I saw Washington D.C. in the 90s a few days ago. Canada must not stay in the cold like this, I WANT MY SPRING AND SUMMER!!!

I don't want to move from my location because anywhere else, you either got extreme violence or extreme weather, and that can count for extreme flooding too. Also, you also got laws that you got to follow, so if I ever wanted to move to Pittsburgh one of these days, I would have to do everything legally - fill out the necessary paperwork, get medicare, and all that stuff. No one is forcing me to stay here, although I do have my DJ job and my friends over here. Anyway, I am gonna wait for this wild weather to pass to do some more grocery shopping.

--------------

'Fun-filled Friday' on The Positive Hedgehog

I am writing this on Thursday night while watching PIX11 (New York City) News. I was at the store getting stuff for me to keep myself fed for tomorrow, and I have have Brisk, so that is awesome. This was done while the KTLA News was on, so you see Ric, I'm not just all about Los Angeles... I am about NYC as well, and maybe Boston, but I will have to see what time the my38 (Channel 38, WSBK in Boston) News is on. A few hours before I did this entry, I packed up the FM transmitter to get ready for tomorrow.

I also have an invitation to go to tomorrow afternoon after a full day of DJing. I just hope that I won't be too tired. If I am not that tired, I will set up my FM transmitter over there and DJ for a few hours while my cousin does a BBQ for everyone.

I love being a DJ! It might be hard work to think of the next song to play, but it's something that does make me very happy.

--------------

'DJ Sonic on Friday ALL DAY, and yes it was all day' on The Positive Hedgehog

So let me start by saying that I had to do DOUBLE the work on Friday... bringing an extra radio, hooking it up to my Logitech sound system and then putting the radio on 95.5 FM so it would receive my signal when I turn the transmitter on. I told Shawn to play first, and I needed both of our laptops to be turned on and plugged in because of the splitter. I was on 100% already and I didn't want my side to come out all distorted and such on the air. Anyway, after the day was done, I packed it all up.

When I played my last song at around 3:25pm, waited for my dad to come and pick me up, played in some traffic somewhat, and then off to my cousin's place since it was an invitation. I then hooked up my transmitter and turned my laptop on. 95.5 FM still was an open frequency over there, but the more further east I would have gone, there is a 95.5 CFLX that I would have heard and that would've made me change my frequency. I would have brought my walkman, of course, to see what FM frequency I would have been able to use. Anyway, getting off the subject here, I didn't use my Logitech speakers since it wasn't really needed at that point. The weather really looked like it was going to storm during the evening, but only heavy rain came down for maybe 2 hours and then it stopped.

Oh, and I need to tell you that I didn't make any announcements while playing at my cousin's place, only at the Action Center would I do that, with DJ Shawn making announcements over the air as well.

Now, for Saturday, this hedgehog is getting ready to go somewhere to see a show. I will be back home later to listen to my SNSD (Saturday Night Safety Dance) and maybe have some fun with Sonic.

Sunday, I might go for a Nuit Blanche, but now since I have checked the weather, a Special Weather Statement has been issued for my area, lots of rain coming and they say 'major spring storm' in the statement.

I think I will leave it for this week's Hoggy Bloggy, The Sonic Blog (Coming in July), The Positive Hedgehog. Hoggy Bloggy would have been a good one to use, lol, but right now it's like I am jumping over a cliff. Have a good upcoming week, all of you fuzzies!

Sonic out.

And now, Ricochet's Updates for all of 'Hughes'!

'Monday, April 1st blogging'

March 30th - I didn't do much. Played with Sonic sexually and then enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. It's a plushophile's job to satisfy their plush partner, and it's a really fun job to have.

March 31st - I saw something on the EB Games website that was selling a T-Shirt with a Funko! Sonic pop...

...and they told me to come back on Monday. I don't care if I wind up doing a blank trip since it will still get me out of the house, and this means that I can't go to bed at a nutty hour in the morning.

-------------------

'Fuzz-less transmitter' on The Positive Hedgehog

I am writing this entry while listening to Doggy Radio since I was listening to my walkman on Sonic 95.5 FM and guess what... I fixed my transmitter. What I did was that I just tapped it on the top of the transmitter while it was on, and I guess that fixed it. No fuzzy sound whatsoever!

-------------------

'Sonic 95.5 FM at the Action Center' on The Positive Hedgehog

Everything went well with the audio splitter, although I need to raise my main volume to 100%. Splitting the audio lowers the audio output. Shawn had a fun time as well on the radio, the only hiccup was that he was coming in too hot when he was using his microphone to do announcements, but that got fixed, although he doesn't have any battery attached to his laptop, so I hope that his settings won't be lost the next time he powers his laptop on.

-------------------

'Dumbo Dumbo Dumbo!!!' on The Positive Hedgehog

That was fun! Not to spoil the movie for anyone, but all I will say that the re-adaptation of the 1941 movie was a tear-jerker at times, but that's me, hehe. I will be seeing a new movie every few months now until the 'BIG' one - SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!

-------------------

'The DJ Sonic show nixed for Friday night, so it's over to you Boomer...' on The Positive Hedgehog

And he barked to me,

"So you ate at a 'boofet' as Ric would bark. We almost did the last time he was here, last weekend. We were in Robinson PA, a town a little way west of Pittsburgh, and a shopping center, and we got as far as pulling into the parking lot of a Golden Corral buffet restaurant, and it seemed like a lot of people with were going in there with kids, just a lot going on, so we left, not wanting to pig out.. :) We went to Eat And Park, with all you can eat salad bar instead.

When it's gloomy outside, how does that affect DJing, it makes you feel sad? It's okay, I can work on my morph for the week, I'm pretty much done for the session tonight. It's a Dog with pigtails, actually like Punky Brewster's hair now that I think of it, so you'll like it.

We had a fun Doggy, and hope you heard the cat keyboard instrument that Ric had last week, all sounds having to do with cats, and I SO wished that we had a puppy one, but I liked that actually.

Hope you're okay and don't feel sick tonight from too much or the wrong kind of food."

And I told him that it was a very gloomy evening and with the buffet I had, I feel tired and I may do a show on Monday instead, but I won't do any show this weekend because I don't want to overlap the weekend furry programming.

-------------------

'Easter PEEPS!' on The Positive Hedgehog

This past Saturday, I went on a shopping spree at my local pharmacy called 'Pharmaprix'. I was there for 2 6-packs of Diet Pepsi, but then I managed to get more things over there. My final price was $82, but you need to add the tax and that's where it gets you... I had to pay $10 tax, so it was $92 instead. It's okay because I got $71 credit in my bank account from the gov't. Anyway, I had a nice shower and now I will be checking out the storms in the deep south. There are times when I log on to TV station websites and follow along with the doppler radar when they would have continuous weather coverage down there because there might be some tornadoes in the area or just really strong thunderstorms.

Now... about the Easter peeps that I got - they were delicious, although I think it's just food coloring (to make it appear yellow), some sugar, and just marshmallow. I also got 2 marshmallow lollipops and I am sure it will taste real good also. They have sprinkles on them, and I will eat them over a bowl to avoid getting any sprinkles on the floor. Umm what else? Oh yeah. I wanted to go with my dad to Hawkesbury in Ontario, for his LCBO (booze) trip and both of our Dollar Tree trip, but it was overcast out, so I decided to just stay back, have a shower, and fool around with Sonic. It sounded like Sonic's my brother or something when I said 'fool around with Sonic', lol.

This Tuesday that is coming up, I will have a fun time with Shawn on Sonic 95.5 FM again and this time, my Logitech speakers will come in handy for both Shawn and I.

That's it for now, I don't have anything more to talk about except the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG movie trailer might be coming out either next month or in June since we need to have the trailer before it's released into theaters, like every movie does. Have a good one, everyone!

Sonic out.

-------------------

'Just a little update' on The Positive Hedgehog

I did try the marshmallow lollipop, and it was really tasty. I am saving the best for last - CHOCOLATE CREPES!!! Mmmmm! I have had those before and they were really delicious! I still have bottles of Diet Pepsi that I didn't drink yet, so it will be 'good times' until I need to go shopping again.

Now, Sonic is out :D

Sonic 95.5 FM - As of an hour ago, or I dunno when I started my auto DJ broadcast...

While I was in the shower, I was listening to my many Saturday Night Safety Dance songs that I now have on my laptop. Sure, many people hear my station, but it was mainly for me enjoying the music in the bathroom since I got a radio there. Anyway, I am planning to go until 1pm. Either 1pm or between 1pm and 2pm.

And thanks for the Sonic and picture. I already had that PNG format on the picture since I used Snipping Tool, and I told Ricochet in the channel to relay that message to you. I saved the PNG master that you gave me and replaced the PNG of the same picture to make sure that it's the cleanest one that you did.

-----------------

March 29th AND April 5th

Andrea from the Action Center called me and said that it will be closed all week this week and this means I will be able to do my show on 9595 and Sonic 95.5 FM on March 29th, and since the events calendar says that there's an activity outing planned for April 5th, well I will broadcast on that evening as well.

This Friday my DJ starting time will be at 10pm, or 9:45 if I am all prepared. I should be all prepared to go by 9:45. The sudden change of time came when my friend, Charlie, invited me to go to a local mall of mine and spend time with him and a friend of ours

-----------------

We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do. And we wanna get loaded. And we wanna have a good time

The Wild Angels, a 1966 movie. Cool. Yes I do have AdBlock, not to worry. That is cool that you created that Pi-Hole gadget.

It's a gloomy day out today, and tomorrow I will be going out to the mall with a good friend of mine. We might go see Dumbo, the 2019 re-adaptation to the 1941 classic. I watched Wonder Park with Charlie. Great movie with a touching story.

-----------------

NOW, for today on The Positive Hedgehog

JaSonic told me that it was my time to shine this past week on his weekly blog, but I got only one thing to say to you guys in Pawpet IRC and the listening audience on Doggy 88 (87.9 FM) and also Sonic 95 (95.5 FM)... APRIL FOOLS!!!

I did some blogging since the owner, JaSonic, left me to shine on his blog this past week. Anyway, on with my blogging...

Eureka!!! I think I have fixed that fuzzy sound problem that I've been having ever since you gave me the transmitter. Your show will be a very good test tomorrow morning since you do a lot of talking on the radio.

There is a 96.9 station over here that is 307 kW! I still can't believe that. 95.5 is not too far off from 96.9, but eh it's okay.

But I don't think it was a power issue or anything like a station using 95.5 FM in Montreal. Now, for my other transmitter, the smaller one, with 102.3, there is another station in my city that uses that frequency, but the area where I live in, LaSalle, can't really get that 102.3 too well, so this is why I chose that frequency.
