This is Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ for July 4th - USA Independence Day! And this will be my very last blog until about late August or the beginning of September - I am the one who chooses anyway since this is my blog. THIS WILL BE MY VERY LAST BLOG UNTIL THIS HEDGEHOG'S VACATION!!!

-----

I am starting on Tuesday today. Today I had loads of fun at the Action Center being the fact that it was my very last day until my summer holidays, and I told everyone. We all had a party for DJ Sonic's last day, and it was the exercise class teacher's last day as well until the fall. Everything was just super! There was a really big rain storm with no lightning or thunder and it just came down in sheets at one point. I took a really big risk when I decided to walk home from my work, but it didn't start to rain while I was walking home, thankfully. This is my 3rd walk of health in just a few days spread out from each other. I love walking when it's not all that hot and humid outside, but in this case with my long hair, it was. Talking about the long hair I had, my dad and I are going on a trip to Stowe, Vermont this Thursday and Friday, coming back Saturday just in time for the fireworks competition - yup, it's that time of year again, just like that Thunder Over Louisville event that Ricochet goes to, but this one is for a full month, either on Wednesdays or Saturdays. It's now well into Wednesday, so I better switch over...

-----

Got up on Wednesday, wrote to Nick on Facebook, and he was coming to the station. He came very early, and I felt a fool waiting outside for him. While inside, I did the stuff that I usually do, and Nick was watching me push all the buttons. I asked him if he'd like to join our group, and he said that he'd have to check if he's available each Wednesdays. Anyway, later on for supper, we both went to a place called Soupebol, which is a noodle place, but their specialty is soups. After we both had our soups, Nick took me home - it was on the way to his house anyway. We stopped at a Sonic gas station before he did drive me home, remember that we have Sonic gas stations up here in Quebec and not Sonic Drive-Ins. Later on, I will be doing my iVlog show.

Thursday, I woke up at 10am to get ready for the trip to Stowe in Vermont by 11:30. Everything went smoothly at customs, and we got to our place nice and safely. I went to a Mexican place with my dad named Bender's Burritos where every burrito is 12 inches and weighs 1 pound. I had the pulled pork burrito and it was very yummy. Went back to the Lodge, Northern Lights Lodge as the place we're staying at is called, and went to bed for a restful sleep at midnight. And oh yeah, before I forget, Ricochet will love this one... I heard Paul McCartney's "I Love You" on 101.7 WCVT - 101 The One while we were traveling to the lodge.

-----

Friday, I woke up at around 8:45 in the morning to have a breakfast buffet at the lodge, and lemme tell you, the buffet is just excellent, and with home-made food also. After the buffet at around 10:30am, we both went on a car trip. I will tell you everywhere we went to. First, we went on VT-108 through Mount Mansfield, to Jeffersonville, and then turned west on VT-15 to junction with VT-104, and I saw a wind farm with only four wind turbines up on a mountain range. After that, we turned for VT-104A towards I-89, but before the Interstate, there was US-7, so we took that just until Exit 16, in the Winooski area. We then took I-189 to Shelbourne to search for some shoes since there is a hole inside one of my shoes. We couldn't find any decent shoes, so we went back on I-189 to I-89 southbound back to Stowe for lunch, and then went down to Waterbury and took I-89 south to the next exit, Exit 9, and took US-2 right into Montpelier. We both visited downtown Montpelier for a bit and then we went towards East Montpelier, but stopped and then turned around before East Montpelier and took the I-89 back north towards the Stowe exit, Exit 10, which is VT-100. I saw really dark storm clouds and then I saw that there was a tornado watch that was issued for extreme southern Vermont, which doesn't effect the Stowe area, but we still had a flicker of the electricity for about 3 or 4 seconds. The thunderstorm was fun, but it was a step below becoming a strong thunderstorm. I still got excited even though it wasn't too much of a really thunderous storm with full of lightning, got into my bathing suit, and then went to the pool to swim while it was raining outside, boy was it ever coming down hard! There were a few lightning flashes and a few rumbles of thunder prior to my evening swim. Didn't have any supper because I really had a huge breakfast, and then we had lunch that really pushed me over the edge, so yeah we both skipped supper. I am happy that we both skipped supper actually. I am now getting ready for the trip back home tomorrow, which is Saturday.

-----

Saturday morning, I woke up at around 8:30 and then we both went to breakfast. I had some scones, a juice and a coffee, and then a ton of blueberry pancakes. I am now in the process of packing up slowly to go back to Montreal, but first a little DJing for himself in the car since there aren't many good radio stations around here. Afternoon came and we came back to Montreal. I am happy to be back home from Stowe, and it was a real nice trip, and the rain just made it into a bonus lol, and thankfully there weren't any flooding issues around in the area when we were still in Stowe. Anyway, back here, I ate some supper early, at 6:08pm and then finished in time to catch my bus to the subway station since I wanted to pick Michael up for the fireworks. I invited him, so I picked him up. Was a bit late arriving at the station that he was at, but he didn't wait long for me. I brought him to the station where the fireworks were being held, and did a little shopping beforehand. Picked up some cookies and pineapple juice to have while I was watching the fireworks. I had it on 105.7 Rythme FM for the fireworks music, and the theme for tonight was superheroes, but they didn't have any Sonic music, but that's okay. When everything was finished, Michael wanted to go to the bathroom, but there was a huge lineup for the port-o-potties. After seeing the lineup, we both decided to go to back to the subway station. The station that we got off at had a huge lineup of people, so we took a nice little walk through our Gay Village and went the next station. When we both finally got home, I was greeted with a nice surprise: A broken bedroom window. Some kids were in the backyard playing basketball and they were playing a bit too hard. The window will be fixed Monday afternoon. Michael stayed the night. He played Sonic Unleashed for PS2 until around 3am or so and then I made his bed for him in the living room. He slept on the sofa. Into Sunday I go...

-----

Sunday, Michael woke me up at 8:45 to go to Tim Horton's with me for an iced cappuccino, but I was too groggy to even get myself out of bed. I slept for a few more hours with Sonic in my arms and let Michael on his way. New shoes were the schedule for today. My dad and I both went to Walmart for new shoes and I got some Dr. Scholl's shoes. The gel inside them make them feel nice and squishy, hehe. Going to wait now and wait for my shows to be on later on tonight and Monday morning.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to you, Boomer & Ricochet, and to all my friends to the south of Canada.

This about wraps it up for Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™, with me JaSonic Hedgehog, where I will officially say that I have closed up shop for the summer and these blogs will be continuing in late August or September. Please do stay tuned for them.

I want to take this time to say thank Doggy Radio for having this segment on the show and for Boomer and Ricochet putting up with these blogs, some of them very long like last week's... whoa, 30 minutes?! That was absolutely NUTS!!! Anyway, I guess this is all I have to say for now. And yeah, I still need to buy myself a good microphone to talk on. I still have GoldWave and I need to put it to some good use, for my personal blogs to the listeners of Doggy Radio.

JaSonic wants to wish each and every one of you a very nice vacation! And please, for the love of God... if you have to drink, don't drive. Be smart and not stupid behind the wheel! I want you all to be back here nice and safe to hear me starting up my blogs in the fall.
