Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ in bulk!

This is Hedgie With a Bloggy on Doggy™ in bulk! Get ready guys, for it's SUMMER TIME BLOGGING!!! This will be an extremely long blog, so I told Boomer to have like 45 minutes to an hour this morning for this blog. Yeah I know that Ricochet might not like it, but just think of it this way - Next week it will be a shorter blog, and the next week, and so forth. This will be something new for my first fall blog on Doggy Radio. Some interesting stuff that may happen on certain days during my vacation.

=====

July 5th - At 4am, I heard a hiss in the kitchen and it was actually a tube squirting out water. The tube actually goes from the faucet to the fridge. So we had a mini flood. Anyway, it got resolved right away during the day. In the afternoon, I went on a bus trip after I went to a late Chinese buffet. I really walked so much! The morning started off wrong, but it became better as time marched on.

-----

July 6th - I swear, I will be wearing out my shoes sooner than later. After going to CKUT to do my Wednesday routine, I took a walk to where I wanted to go next, the Jazz Festival, for a free beatboxing show that I wanted to watch, and I passed the street that I had to turn off on, and further east than I should have gone, but extra walking is always good, and I was still on time. But then when that show was over, I walked yet again to the fireworks, it was Chile this time competing, and wow was it a good one. I'm glad to be back home though.

BIG gap in dates here!

-----

August 2nd - This is in the evening after supper. It was so nice outside that I decided to take a nice long subway ride to this park I know of called Ile-de-la-Visitation, but before I did that, I bought $34 worth of stuff like a ton of chocolate bars (Kit Kat, 3 Muskateers, and Mirage), 2 M&M bags (the peanut kind), and salted almonds. I already brought some drinks with me from home that I bought a few days ago. Convenient store prices are a bit more hefty on their pricing than regular grocery stores. Anyway, continuing... after coming out of the subway stop that I needed to get off of, I walked east to the park, which was a good 20-minute to a half-an-hour walk, but like I said, it was just too gorgeous outside to pass the opportunity up to not take the bus. It was starting to get very dark outside, so I stayed on the paths that was lit up. I walked a bit and then I came back to have a seat on an outdoor bench overlooking a basin and ate some of my chocolate bars that were kind of melted at the time, but I didn't get all messy thankfully. A good 10 to 15 minutes flew when I finally got up and walked to a nearby bus stop, and the bus came at 10pm, which was great because there was dead silence so I was able to hear all the insects at work, which was music to my ears. When I hopped on the bus, I was delightfully amazed by the overhead sign panel working, and there were announcements of the stops on speakers on the roof of the bus. The bus number is 45. I have been on that bus once before when my friend, Michael, and I were coming back from the park to see the fireworks. 45 is a nice long ride, 45 minutes, from the park down to the subway station. When I got off the bus, I went back to the subway station that I live close to, and on the subway, some lights flickered whenever the breaks were activated, which was weird, but it's an old subway network which was opened in 1967, so even the subway cars are very old. Got off the subway and waited for the 495 to come. Didn't even bother to check what time it came since I couldn't care less since it was still very gorgeous outside at the time. Got to my stop and went to another park, and this is when my blog for today gets interesting - I got a station from Chicago that came in, and it sounded very strong... 780 WBBM, and they said that they broadcast on FM also at 105.9 although I know that I wouldn't be able to get it because we have a 105.7 station here in the city already. Still, if we didn't have a 105.7, I still wouldn't get 105.9 from Chicago on my walkman unless I go very near the city. Anyway, yes so 780 WBBM sounded like an all-news station. It was a very interesting evening for this hedgehog to say the least.

-----

August 3rd - In the very early hours of the morning, I began to go on a search for very complicated stuff on the Internet. I think the fact that I saw TIS for the Chicago airports, Midway & O'Hare, it brought me to think of looking up Highway Advisory Radio stations, or HAR. This is when I was searching Chicago radio stations over on RadioStationWorld. I am educating myself on different things and on subjects that I like. It's kind of weird how the goverment has HAR stations either at the low end or high end of the AM band. Like I said, I like numbers, but I don't know why I like numbers this much.

-----

Another semi-huge gap.

-----

August 15th - After Doggy Radio, I still had a lot of energy and I don't know why, so I went to McDonald's and got myself 5 breakfast burritos and 2 McWraps - 1 Kale & Feta and 1 Sausage & Hash brown. The Kale & Feta was not so hot with me, but I really forgot what the sausage & hash brown one tasted like, but I will say this - The sausage & hash brown McWrap is way better than the breakfast burritos, and I am not kidding about this! The McWraps are also a bit more expensive, but I only want the best for myself. Anyway, I got out of there pretty full and content. I was thinking of going to the dollar store, Dollarama, and getting some sesame snaps since I adore munching on that, and they aren't all that expensive either, but nah I was too full for thinking on buying anything at that point. The rest of the day was spent pretty much in bed sleeping with my 20-inch Sonic plush toy, snuggling him to heck!

-----

August 16th - Still managed to go to bed in the morning and slept until 5pm. While at the supper table, my dad told me when he wanted to go on that big car trip and he said the latest that we would go would be the week of the 22nd, which is fine, but I told everyone back at the Action Center that I would be back my either mid-September or October which would be the latest.

-----

Now, for the moment you guys were all waiting for... FINALLY, IT'S HERE!!! It's a month late because usually we take these long car trips at the end of July, not the end of August.

AUGUST 28th - Well, I woke up at around 2:15am after going to bed at 9:30pm the night before because I got too excited... wrote up a weather bulletin for my dad since he doesn't like driving in the rain, and the last weather bulletin I got was from here to the Vermont border would be inclimate weather, and then from the Canadian border throughout Vermont, and this means a good chunk of Interstate 89, the weather would be questionable. It's when we make our way to New Hampshire (the rest of Interstate 89, Interstate 93 right into Boston MA, Route 3 to Sagamore, Route 132 to Hyannis, and then Route 28 to the hotel in West Yarmouth). When we both will be in NH, though, we'll be stopping at the NH Liquor Store right off I-89 that finishes and I-93 takes over. The NH Liquor Store is a Rest Area off I-93 as well. I have to admit, there's a good amount of radio stations that will be available to me in the area, but the one that I will probably be listening to the most will be talk radio on 99.7 FM, and maybe 99.1, which is NH1 News. I will be switching between stations while I go with my dad into the NH Liquor Store because I want to stretch my legs at that point. I will write more when I'm at the hotel, Cape Point Hotel. And, by the way, I forgot to tell you all that I will be having my laptop computer with me, so I might be an in-car DJ for myself. I have that option. Well, if I didn't bring my laptop with me, how would I continue my blogs over the week? I just thought about that, lol. Anyway, yeah more later when I finally get to the hotel. We both arrived at the hotel a bit after 4pm after some trouble with a round-about. Those are very confusing, but we made it safely. Ate at a Chinese buffet for supper at a very decent price. Right now I am so tired that I am ready to get nice and cozy in bed since I am kind of tired since I woke up this morning at 2:15. I was excited, what more do you want?

-----

AUGUST 29th - Woke up at 5am feeling nice and rested, and I listened to the last hour of Doggy Radio. The station that I have been raving about, 90.7 WKKL, for like 2 days prior to coming to Cape Cod, and was listening to the station online in full Stereo is now coming in on my walkman, but with one snag - the station is in mono where we are located. The station is only 200 watts, but what gets me is that they say it's for the West Barnstable / Hyannis area and I am closer to Hyannis than West Barnstable, but it doesn't matter because I have seen the station's coverage area, and I am in the distant area of the coverage. I still get the station and I am not pissed off that I don't receive the station in Stereo. Going to McDonalds later on this morning since there's no continental breakfast over here. No coffee machine in the hotel room either. My dad changed his mind - I really wanted to have some hash browns from McDonald's, but he's just going to pop into Dunkin' Donuts very close to the hotel to get a coffee for both him & I, and some plain donuts. By the way, I put both distant and local stations in memory on my walkman, and I'll leave my presets alone during the whole week. As well, I need to tell you all that I got the idea of listening to my walkman coming down, but going back up again I will most likely use my laptop for some great music. Just noticed something else here - every radio station on Cape Cod has maximum ERP of 50 kW. Today was the day that we went to P'town, also known as Provincetown. I think that 105.5 will be in use only for a few times this week since I don't really get a good signal over here and the fact that I can't plug anything inside the bathroom to get some music while I have a shower or anything, so the use of the frequency will be rare down here. That's alright though. Tonight I had a seafood casserole treat for a reasonable price, and boy was it yummy! Now I'm slowly winding down for the night since it's 8:15pm.

-----

AUGUST 30th - Woke up at around 4:15am this time since I went to bed at 9:30 last night from feeling so tired. My dad picked up some stuff for breakfast yesterday to be able to save some money while we're on vacation due to the currency exchange between Canada and the USA. I definitel know that we'll be hitting the Chinese buffet yet again for lunch since that will take care of supper, and that means we won't be having any supper, and that is A-OK by me because I want my dad to save money while on this trip. I was even thinking about not making my dad get those hash browns anymore from McDonald's that I so wanted yesterday morning. The morning coffee over there is just $1, so my dad will get me a coffee also through the week, so it will only cost him $2 every single day. I also forgot to tell you guys in August 29th blog that there is an 88.7 FM coming in over here, which is nuts because Doggy Radio uses an 88.7 frequency in Pittsburgh, although this 88.7 FM is labeled as "mvyradio" and Boomer's 88.7 is only on Pittsburgh radio every Monday mornings. My dad changed his mind about lunch, instead of a Chinese buffet, it'll be a Mexican buffet.

-----

AUGUST 31st - This morning, I woke up at 5:30 exactly since I went to bed at around 10pm last night. I don't know what's on tap for today, but all I know for now is that my dad did a little grocery shopping at the nearest Dollar Tree and got some stuff for us for breakfast each day, stuff like morning donuts and Sunny D. Morning coffee will have to be bought at McDonald's each and every morning. I don't have anything much else to talk about today, so on to tomorrow.

-----

SEPTEMBER 1st - I woke up at 8am this morning. I'm happy that I got up when it was light outside at last. Gonna have some donuts again and my dad's going to get another coffee from McDonald's. It was raining the whole day, so my dad and I didn't do much after the 3rd time we went at Tasty Buffet, that Chinese buffet.

-----

SEPTEMBER 2nd - I woke up at 7:55 this morning and I woke up to a beautiful day. Got some McDonald's coffee yet again, and boy do they have ever good coffee! Tomorrow we both will wake up at 6am and gonna try to get on the road by 6:30 or 7am. Had a fun-filled day today since it was very sunny out today, but now since I am finishing up in the evening, I'm going to say that is it for the trip. I am very glad that TS-Hermine didn't upset the week for us. I will be being my very own DJ all the way up to Canada.

-----

SEPTEMBER 3rd - The day we get on the road back to Montreal. I woke up 15 minutes before the wake-up call so that I could have some time on the laptop. I'll write more when I'm back home. Just going to say something while in the car on the way up to Canada. It's now 11:25am and we're now in the state of Vermont. I am listening to my laptop's music all the way home, so it's good. Some areas of the state doesn't have good radio stations because it's sparse when we traveled south on Interstate 89 when we both began our trip to Cape Cod a week ago. We arrived home at 3:15pm, and my dad wants to go somewhere else to finish off Labor Day weekend on a good note.

-----

SEPTEMBER 4th - Our vacation is not over yet, I told my dad that we could go to that place for the day, have a good time, and then come back for the evening because I want to track Hermine on PIX11, TV station in New York City. So right now at 12:45pm, I am back in the car with my dad going to another city in the same province, still in Canada, but we're not using the highway. We're using a secondary route, which is okay too.

----

September 5th to September 11th - We both stayed at home for almost a week, and then on September 9th or 10th, my dad decided on the spur of the moment that he wanted to take me to Lake George NY until Wednesday, September 14th. I love Lake George, so I had to oblige. I brought 4 Sonic plush toys down here, so that's awesome! I just love my Sonic plushies. On the 16th I will be going down south of Montreal by just a bit, bring my DJ equipment, and help celebrate Nick's birthday the right way. He doesn't want me to put the music too loud, but it will be loud enough to make everyone dance. Some can talk also because I'll lower my music whenever it needs to be lowered.

-----

SEPTEMBER 11th - We started on the road by 11am, went very well at the US border, and arrived at 2:30. My dad made a great choice of hotels and the room as well. For supper we both went to SJ Garcia's, which is a Mexican restaurant, where I had a good burrito. Later on, we both wrapped up the night and I went to sleep like at 2:30am on Monday the 12th with my dad snoring away. I yelled a couple times to him, but when he woke up, he was all drowsy and told me to be quiet, but how can I when he's not the one being quiet, huh? Tell me why that is? hehe. Anyway, the bed is really comfortable over here, so that makes up for his snoring. But before I wrap it up for today, I discovered 2 horse racing channels on TV. Channel 7.2 and Channel 26. Since we are near Saratoga Springs, that is why we are getting not 1, but 2 horse racing channels. I remember like 5 to 10 years back I was amazed when we both got 10 horse racing channels in a Las Vegas hotel. At the time I don't know why we had so many, but I am just glad that I have 2 horse racing channels over here in Lake George.

-----

SEPTEMBER 12th - It was a very nice day today, so for lunch we went to Sushi Yoshi, the Chinese gourmet hibachi steakhouse restaurant, and we both had shrimp lo mein with fried rice. Later on for supper, we both wanted to go to a restaurant that was closed for the day, so I told my dad to save his money. Decided to download the Doggy Radio podcast and I was thinking that my Sennheiser headphones were beginning to give me audio problems, or maybe there was something that went wrong with the download on the WiFi network down here at the hotel, but nah I heard on the podcast that Boomer was having audio channel problems for that morning. I thanked him for clarifying that to me via E-Mail. I am getting ready for a Chinese buffet tomorrow for lunch since we both skipped supper.

-----

SEPTEMBER 13th - This is my dad's 69th birthday. I offered him to choose what places to go eat today, but he still wanted to eat at the buffet, so we went there. I ate really well. No supper during the evening and that decision suited me well. Tomorrow, the 14th, we'll be going back north to Canada via Interstate 87 or Route 9N. I have been monitoring the weather for the trip back and it looks half good, half bad. More for you on the 14th...

-----

SEPTEMBER 14th - Blogging in the car now. Forgot to tell you guys that I found a radio station in Glens Falls NY and at first I thought the call letters were WGRF, and that made me think of gruff, lol, but no as I found out later the call letters were WGFR for Glens Falls Radio. While going up north, we're experiencing some pretty odd weather. Clouds, fog, off and on rain, and some clearing. Also while we were down in Lake George, I got a 88.7 FM station that was NPR from Rutland, Vermont and I was thinking about your Doggy Radio show because you broadcast the show on 88.7 FM as well. Got back home around 2pm and now I am just waiting for the 16th. I will tell all of you what is happening on that day when that day is finally here.

-----

September 16th - I am now at Nick's place DJing for him, his mom, and a couple friends. I am loving the choice of music I am making and I know that everyone else is loving the music as well while they talk amongst themselves. On the very last song, the music was very LOUD and that made Nick and some other people dance like a nut, but Nick got a cramp in his foot. He had to lay down on the sofa for the time I needed to put away all my DJ equipment and take it home and get ready for my getting back to routine with the Action Center.

-----

September 18th - It's just after 9pm, and do you know where your hedgehog is? LOL no, sorry... Seriously, I need to get my ass to the grocery store to pick up some soft drinks for myself to stay awake for The Rabbit Hole, Radiolawn, and Doggy Radio. Yes sir, I'm getting back in the swing of things.

This has been a LOOOOONG blog from JaSonic. A name change to the blog name might be in the works to "Not Another DAMN Blog, JaSonic!!!" But yeah, I'm back in action! Now, it's time for Ricochet's Moment on Doggy Radio, or maybe not because this blog was too long, but I now let you guys take it away!
