My vacation blogging continues...

Today starting on Tuesday - My dad and I went down to Kingston, but we stopped in Brockville for Dollar Tree before continuing on to Kingston. Lovely room. Went to an Indian restaurant for supper. After we came back, we both watched the "Horrible Bosses 2" movie.

Wednesday - Got up at a decent hour to go to an Asian restaurant, called Apsara Angkor, in downtown Kingston, and then waited in line to take a trip to Wolfe Island across from Kingston. Now, I remember when my dad and I took a trip on Highway 95 on Wolfe Island right to the US border, but turned around a few hundred feet before we got to customs. This year we both traveled on Highway 96 witch goes on the entire island. We went to the western tip of the island and then back to the east, but not to the eastern tip. We got in line again to take the ferry back to Kingston, but the ferry was full and we were the first few vehicles in line for the 5:30pm boarding (which was way out of whack because of some stupid traffic lights right close to where the ferry docks on the Kingston side. We only boarded at around 6:10 to 6:15). Before boarding, we both went to grab a beer, called "Wolfe Island's Cannonball" and it was pretty good. We went in the car after we had the beer and we went on the ferry. That evening I forgot what I was doing. I had terrible WiFi on Tuesday and it continued even on Wednesday. Went to sleep around 1:30 in the morning with my 20-inch Sonic since I brought him down with me.

Thursday, woke up around 10:15 and went on the Internet, and the WiFi was a bit better, and this is the day when we went back to Montreal via Highway 2 (Highway 2 runs parallel to Highway 401). But before that happened, we went to the Panda Garden Buffet, or what it once was called. Now, it's under new management and is now called Peony Asian Buffet, but it was still great food! I would still go back there again. Anyway, off we went and now I am back in Montreal.

And that's where I will leave it because I think that will be the most exciting part of this past week. Oh, and one more thing... during my stay at the hotel, there's this nice indoor waterpark that I did go to before, and I loved it, but this time I didn't go to the waterpark on either Tuesday afternoon when we checked in or even Wednesday. Thursday I just didn't have time to go to the waterpark... what a good excuse, lol. Anyway, right now on Friday I am anticipating some pretty weird weather from now until Sunday or even Monday so that may mean no going out getting exercise for me. I did say to myself that maybe there could be a chance, but I'll see.

UPDATE! (or addendum for all of you out there) - I did finally get a fairly powerful thunderstorm on Saturday at 6:45am. I was still awake wanting to see if the radar was right, and it was because about 20 minutes earlier, I did check the TV and there was a red line coming towards Montreal. It's been known that thunderstorms have fizzled out before they get here from the west, but thankfully this one didn't fizzle out. It was super loud, the thunder, at times, and there was plenty of lightning. I had to unplug my laptop just so the lightning doesn't do anything to the hard drive. I am still on battery power as I type this out.

Before I go, I know all of you want to know my grocery bill, so please allow either Boomer or Ricochet to read the list all to you: 2 big Diet Pepsi bottles, 1 big carbonated strawberry drink, 3 salt & vinegar Crispers, 1 bag of fresh curd cheese (eaten before supper), and 3 sparkling carbonated water beverages. That's all for this week's grocery list. No Monster drinks this week since there wasn't anymore ULTRA BLUE flavor, and that is the best kind I like - Not because of the Sonic blue coloring of the can nor the name Ultra Blue... it's just the flavor that I like, that's all. Another note that I need to give you guys. Next week there will be a blog, but I won't be listening live since I will be going to the Mont-Tremblant Blues Festival up north of my city. I'd say a good 175 miles north of here. I may download the podcast on the week of the 17th, but then again I don't know what I will be doing from the 17th to the 21st, but this is for certain, that I am getting really excited for What The Fur, and mixed in with a bit of sadness as well because this will be the last one. Ah well, that's why I need to make this one count!

Anyway, on to my closing...

Thank you, guys, for reading this week's vacation blog, even though it was a short one, but then I made it into a longer one in the last few days, lol.
